Learning Academy offers quality education to children from Playschool to Kindergarten. Learning Academy (previously called St. John’s) was founded in 1989 in Salkia, Howrah. The school offers a nurturing environment for children and seeks to instill an enthusiasm for learning.
Classes
Playschool and Crèche
Every child deserves the best possible start and we offer a safe and loving environment for children to begin their education journey.
Age group: 1½ to 3 years old.
School hours: 9 AM – 11 AM
Additional information: School books, uniform and school stationary are available to be purchased from the school office.
Lower Nursery
Children learn basic English and Arithmetic, conversation, art, recitation through interactive Montessori methods and activities.
Age group: 3 – 4 years old.
School hours: 9 AM – 11 AM

Upper Nursery
Upper Nursery is the perfect midpoint between Lower Nursery and Kindergarten. Children continue learning English, Arithmetic, conversation, art, recitation, reading and life skills.
Age group: 4 – 5 years old.
School hours: 9 AM – 12 PM

Kindergarten
At Kindergarten, children continue to progress in an active learning community, which keeps learning fun and creative. Apart from learning academics, children are encouraged to participate in sports and extracurricular activities.
Starting age group: 5 – 6 years old.
School hours: 9 AM – 12:30 PM
